Ephraim Owens Group

🐘9pm

The Austin Chronicle says this about Ephraim - "If Austin boasts a Miles Davis – one jazz man, a trumpet icon, that everybody knows regardless of genre knowledge – it’s Ephraim Owens. Backline mainstay in this century’s stand-ins for the Allman Brothers, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, the local horn wrangler took home Best Jazz at the Austin Music Awards last month. Here, he blows a short, sharp solo."

Elias Haslanger Quintet

🐘 9pm

“Elias Haslanger is the real deal, a no-nonsense modernist whose Rollins-esque rhythmatics and Coltrane-tinged harmonics surge and soar.” — @jazztimesmag

$7 cover Thursday-Saturday

David Mesquitic Quintet

🐘 8pm

Replacing Ephraim Owens (due to illness) David brings his piano chops to the front and will bring some stellar artists along with him including Chris Maresh on bass, Mike Koenning on drums, Matt Berger on guitar and Gene Centeno on saxophone.

Michael Mordecai has been hosting his Monday Night Jam since 1980. When the Elephant Room opened in 1991 he found it's permanent home sweet home. Many Austin Jazz greats cut their teeth at this unassuming Monday night hang. You just never know who might show up or what musical jam moment might spark the next cool collaboration.

Boss Street Brass Band

🐘9pm

March down the stairs on second Tuesdays to the second line sounds from the Boss Street Brass Band, Austin's own funky, horn-driven contemporary ensemble in the New Orleans tradition of "Phatt" Tuesdays every month!

Jitterbug Vipers

🐘Early Show

Jitterbug Vipers perform 1930s-style "viper jazz" with a rock 'n' roll twist. With Bree Romeo on vocals, Francie “Meaux Jeaux” White on stand-up bass, and Masumi Jones on drums, they’re the “original and only trippy-swingadelic 1930s rock band on Planet Earth.”

The Jitterbug Vipers perform every first and third Wednesday evening in the basement.
