Michael Mordecai has been hosting his Monday Night Jam since 1980. When the Elephant Room opened in 1991, the JAM found it's permanent home in the basement. Many Austin Jazz greats cut their teeth at this unassuming Monday night hang where "the old pro's and the young lions mix licks". You just never know who might show up or what musical jam moment might spark the next cool collaboration.

At 13 Mitch started playing guitar with a surf band in McAllen, Texas. Years later he's traveling the world on multiple tours with Leonard Cohen. You're gonna want to hear the sounds that have endeared this master guitarist to so many and who Jazz Times Magazine calls "a man for all musical seasons".

The N.O.W. Jazz Orchestra is an 18 piece modern jazz big band based in Austin, Texas. Its repertoire comes from members of the band and national composers.

Jolly Jon Blondell has performed every Christmas Eve since any of us can remember. He will be leading from the bass chair with Matt Berger on guitar and Rob Kazenel on drums. Dr. Jim Rose will be in New York, so he will be "swapping docs" as Dr. John Mills joins the merriment.
